The wheels installed in Sliding Glass Window and Door Roller Assemblies are the most important components to insure long term performance. For this reason, P.E. Del Mar manufactures its Roller Assemblies using Precision Plus+™ Wheels in 1 1/4”, 1 1/2“and 1 11/16” diameter sizes and are offered in Steel, Stainless Steel, and Nylon Insert Molded outer races.

How are Precision Plus+™ Wheels different than standard commercial wheels?

A key difference is in our wheel’s construction which includes 608zz industrial precision ball bearings. These bearings provide incomparable quiet and smooth rolling operations. You and your customers will immediately notice a dramatic difference in performance.

All of our wheels are designed to provide easy movement and adequate support for sliding door panels without causing deformation. P.E. performs the required testing procedures specified under AAMA 906-15 guidelines. Our wheels must reach 20,000 full-open/full-close cycles without the roller “jumping” its track or the door sash becoming more difficult to operate.

• Precision Plus+™ Wheels pass testing of 20,000 cycles with load ratings of 46 kg (100 pounds) for 1 ¼” and 1 ½” Diameter steel and stainless steel construction.
• Precision Plus+™ Nylon wheels are manufactured using Nylon66 polymers with 15% fiberglass. These wheels pass 20,000 cycles with load ratings of 40 kg per wheel (88 pounds).

Nylon66 has high mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and toughness with excellent sliding properties while Fiberglass increases structural and impact strength and rigidity compared to conventional unfilled Nylon grades.
